Built in 1840, the Historic Bovaird House is a great Canadian example of a Georgian-type farmhouse. A tour throughout the home reveals a plethora of period furniture, dating from 1850 to 1920. Visitors can participate in a variety of events, held at the house every year. Peel County Jail The Peel County Jail was constructed in 1867 and is now a part of the Peel Heritage Complex. The building was last used as a jail in 1977, and is now filled with colourful displays and exhibits. The building is also used as meeting and office space.
